June 02, 2015

Greetings, here are the 10 most frequently asked questions about the transition of your accounts to Banco Popular. If you have further questions, you can visit www.popular.com/en/doral.

  1. What should I do if I did not receive my ATH® debit card or I cannot activate my ATH International Visa card?

If you are a Doral Bank customer and you have not received your new ATH® debit card with the pin you had assigned with Doral Bank, you can visit one of our branches and our host will provide you a new one. If you received the card but could not activate it or if you need to request an ATH International Visa card, please call 787-724-3659, 24 hours a day, or visit your nearest branch for assistance.

  1. What will happen with Doral Bank checks?

For your convenience, you can continue using the checks from your Doral Bank account until you receive the new order of checks that was requested. You may use the Banco Popular checks starting on June 1.

Doral Bank checks that have not cleared will be processed and charged to the accounts that converted to Banco Popular once they are presented for collection. If you used Banco Popular checks before June 1, they will not be honored.

  1. Will I receive new checks?

Yes. Banco Popular will send you a special conversion offer of 25 free checks and three check design options for Commercial customers. These offers are for a limited time. You will receive a discount with the offer of three check design options. The new checks will have a new Banco Popular account number, route and transit numbers. If you select any of the offers, you must notify it by return mail. If you do not receive this offer or have any situation with your order, we recommend you contact Harland Clarke at 787-712-4000 or 1-800-981-8405.

  1. What will happen with clients who made electronic payments with their Doral Bank account?

Banco Popular will send an electronic notice to the businesses with the new number of the Banco Popular account. The payment will be deducted from your new account. However, you should monitor your account and immediately notify if the charge is not reflected. If the payment is not reflected, we suggest you make the change directly with the corresponding business to avoid any inconvenience.

  1. What will happen with the Direct Deposit I used to receive in my Doral Bank account?

Your Direct Deposit service with your employer will automatically transfer to your new account. However, it is important that you notify your employer about the change and monitor your account in the event the deposit is not reflected. If needed, you may request in any branch the direct-deposit document for your employer.

  1. Can I change the type of account assigned to me in Banco Popular?

How can obtain my Doral Bank account statements before my account was transferred on May 2015 to Banco Popular.

I only can obtain the account statements from Banco Popular since it was opened on May 2015 and I URGENTLY NEED various statements previous to May 2015, including 2014, & 2013.

Previous to the Banco Popular opening, the transfer from Doral Bank on May 2015, I had access to my Doral Bank account through internet. This no longer exists.
