Popular Risk Services and CUD: A Partnership That Strengthens the Business Ecosystem

In 2024, Popular Risk Services, LLC and the United Retailers Association of Puerto Rico (CUD by its Spanish acronym) celebrated a decade of partnership. This alliance, which started in November 2014, has focused on providing risk management and insurance services tailored for small and medium-sized businesses in Puerto Rico.

Popular Risk Services, a subsidiary of Popular, Inc., has a team of over 20 professionals from various fields, dedicated to risk management and finance. These professionals provide more than ten health coverage options and additional benefits to CUD members.

One of this collaboration’s main initiatives is Seguros CUD, a general agency that manages insurance programs tailored to the specific needs of CUD-affiliated businesses. This program, implemented with local insurers, aims to obtain competitive pricing and a personalized approach. As part of its services, it offers various affordable and flexible insurance options designed to fit business owners’ budgets.

Over the past decade, the relationship between both entities has evolved and strengthened because of a shared commitment to providing useful solutions to the commercial sector.
